Сегодня ехала с работы в зимней куртке и чувствовала себя довольно глупо, так как у нас внезапно май. Теплынь почти в 20 градусов. Я вообще перестаю понимать с чего столько нытья в интернетах про Голландскую погоду)
А учёба-работа-исследование тем временем всё уплотняется и уплотняется. В понедельник 10-го была встреча с сотрудницей с другого факультета, которая в нашей группе "П-лаб" (Perception Intelligence). Мы с Сильвей спрашивали её, не знает ли она каких-нибудь эффективных методов обработки наших, немного специфичных, данных. Она сказала, что не совсем её тема, но дала ссылки на людей, кто может знать.
Вообще групп развелось не счесть. Я состою в мини группе по визуальному восприятию - нас 3 студента, профссор и два какбы профессора. Встречаемся каждую неделю. Эти встречи я нахожу полезными, потому что регулярная проверка прогресса держит в тонусе. Потом есть секция внутри факультета, на ней к нашей группе прибавляется группа по звуку и какие-то дизайнеры. Вроде. по интерфейсу или типа того. С ними видимся раз в месяц. И есть П-лаба, включающая в себя нас, звуковиков и ребят, которые как бы айтишники, с другого факультета, но тоже занимаются всяким восприятием. С этими тоже раз в месяц. И ещё есть межуниверский проект PRISM, который меня нанял, с ними хотя бы раз в полгода встречаемся, и это веселуха с любопытными лекциями и халявными поездками/ресторанами.
Вот те обе, что раз в месяц, не кажутся мне особо эффективными, но, насколько я понимаю, создавать всякие союзы в этой среде модно, поэтому никуда не деться. Ну, хоть презентации на них потренирую)
Аа, и ещё одна неофициальная группа, аспиранты индустриального дизайна. Тоже примерно ежемесячно собираются, просто поболтать. На последнем собрании разговор зашёл про то, кто в какие приложения залипает. Одна девчонка какие-то грибы на пеньке выращивает, я в кэндикраш ингода рублюсь. Но больше всего мне понравилось приложение room for thought http://roomforthought.nl/, которое в рандомный момент дня предлагает тебе сделать фотку, где бы ты ни находился. И, например, за год набегает средняя картина своей жизни. Интересная идея.
В четверг той недели была встреча с Сильией, на которой я отчиталась по планам на ближайший эксперимент, и мы обговорили с ней план на ближайшие месяцы, что в апреле я должна померить всё, в мае доделать часть с наблюдателями, и с июня анализировать и писать статью, которую к августу желательно закончить. Такие дела =)

- По случаю ухода на пенсию одного из профессоров был организован мини-симпозеум. Today I went from work in a winter jacket and felt pretty stupid, since we suddenly have May. The warm water is almost 20 degrees. I generally cease to understand why so much whining on the Internet about Dutch weather)

Like. on the interface or something like that. We see them once a month. And there is the P-lab, which includes us, sound men and guys who are like IT specialists from another faculty, but also deal with all kinds of perceptions. With these, too, once a month. And there is also an inter-university project PRISM that hired me, we meet with them at least once every six months, and this is fun with interesting lectures and free rides / restaurants.
These two, that once a month, do not seem to me particularly effective, but, as I understand it, it’s fashionable to create all kinds of alliances in this environment, so there’s no place to go. Well, at least I will train presentations on them)
Ah, and another informal group, graduate students of industrial design. They also gather about every month, just chat. At the last meeting, the conversation went about who sticks to which applications. One girl grows some mushrooms on a stump, I’m chopping into a Candy Crash Ingoda. But most of all I liked the room for thought application http://roomforthought.nl/, which at a random moment of the day invites you to take a picture wherever you are. And, for example, an average picture of one’s life rushes over the year. Interesting idea.
On Thursday of that week, there was a meeting with Silia, where I reported on the plans for the next experiment, and we discussed with her the plan for the coming months, that in April I should measure everything, finish the part with observers in May, and analyze and write from June an article that it is advisable to finish by August. Such things =)
