Почему я люблю читать биографии?
Чехов, когда ехал на Сахалин, не пропускал ни одной жалобной книги. Почему? Да потому, что это кладезь характеров для писателя.
Однажды, я почитал на почте (а времени на почте всегда много) жалобную книгу. Мне жаль почту России, если о ней так думают. Но жаль не очень сильно, особенно когда я стою часами в очередях.
Факт из биографии другого человека может помочь в принятии многих решений. Но тут, как с мировой историей – из уст в уста меняется – не известно, что успели сочинить про автора чужие дяди и тёти. Поэтому советую читать биографии авторов от лица их самих. Да-да! Питайтесь их опытом даром и благодарите их за то, что они потратили время на мемуары
