В ответе прозвучала следующая фраза: «Предложенные имена должны быть узнаваемы для зарубежной аудитории». Это наводит на мысль о том, что вся эта затея с конкурсом мало того, что была осуществлена вопреки интересам жителей региона, но и преследовала цель в первую очередь вызвать благосклонность у «широкой международной общественности».

Глядя на слова о зарубежной аудитории и помня о желании любителей Николая II со всей страны и зарубежья дать аэропорту его имя, я вспоминаю следующее.
18 марта 2013 года Российское Дворянское Собрание (все с больших букв) написало открытое письмо-ультиматум знаковым лицам из элиты России, включая первых лиц из власти (Путин, Медведев). Дворяне ультимативно требовали вынести Ленина из Мавзолея, иначе грозились не давать инвестиций. Это было не первое такое письмо.

Потерявшие страну дворяне (предавшие попутно Николая II) желают вернуться и властвовать. Сходясь с нынешней властью на почве антисоветизма, они требуют от нее самоубиться через окончательное уничтожение советского наследия. Вот чем плохо название Аэропорт города-героя Мурманск? Фашистов же били. Нет, плохо тем, что название советское.
Если нынешняя власть окончательно сойдет с ума и пойдет навстречу этим дворянам и их западным друзьям, она мгновенно лишится поддержки народа, тающей после пенсионной реформы. «Дворяне» своих попыток не оставят, единственное что можно сделать — признать-таки на государственном уровне величие советского периода истории (и позорность его конца, который нужно осмыслить).
