Остановка 4. Брюссель
Прибыли мы сюда из Берлина, чудом успев на самолёт. Хоть рейс и должен был лететь в Брюсель, его перенаправили во французский городок Лилле, откуда нас на автобусе (2 часа пути) доставили в центр Брюсселя.
Сейчас честно пытаюсь сформулировать свои впечатления от этого города, что даётся крайне сложно. На мой взгляд, самое подходящее для него описание - ПРОТИВОРЕЧИВЫЙ.
В центре узкие улочки и широкие проспекты, старые дома и новые строения. Все налеплено одно к другому без разбора и вкуса.
На улицах местами грязно, местами нет. Множество афроамериканцев и выходцев из стран востока. Когда мы сели в автобус, что ехал от вокзала в сторону нашего отеля, то были в нем единственным светлым пятном...
Первые ощущения и впечатления от Брюсселя после Германии были мягко говоря неточень. Но побыв здесь несколько дней, освоились и нашли плюсы.
Основные достопримечательности для туриста:
* Главная площадь - очень красивые здания, многие ее часто сравнивают с Лувром, я там не был, так что сравнить не могу. Но действительно красиво.
* Вафли - их аромат приследует повсеместно. Весьма вкусно, если брать не в уличных фургонах, а в специализированных магазинах.
* Картошка фри ???? - Брюссельцы утверждают, что приготовили ее раньше французов. Однако французы застолбили название Френч Фрай, поэтому Бельгийцам остается лишь говорить об этом. На вкус тоже неплоха, жарят ее в говяжьем жире, снаружи получается хрустящая, внутри мягкая и ароматная.
* Атомиум - здание в форме атома. Внутри находятся музеи.
* Готические соборы - они мне понравились больше всего. При их величественном виде вспоминаешь Эльфов, Драконов и прочий мною любимый мир фэнтези.
* Атмосферные заведения - сюда можно внести добрую половину заведений Брюсселя. Бургерные ресторанчики, seafood, барчики и кафетерии на любой вкус. Праздник живота обеспечен.
* Европарламент, еврокомиссия, современный финансовый район - современные постройки которые продолжают тему противоречивости ощущений.
Реалии сегодняшнего дня:
* У входа в крупные центры, у больших транспортных зданий, в метро и в прочих местах массового скопления людей за порядком следят как полисмены, так и военные. С подобным мы сталкивались лишь однажды в Тунисе, во время народных волнений. Это безусловно вносит ощущение дискомфорта и легкого беспокойства. Некоторые станции метро не функционируют, полагаю, что это тоже связано с террористической угрозой.
* Местный народ в целом ведет привычный образ жизни. Работает до 6ти, а после до поздна сидит в пивнушках и кафешках.
* Мигранты. В данном вопросе можно провести параллель с Куала-Лумпуром, где в свое время впустили в страну более 200 тысяч беженцев, не предоставив им рабочих мест и жилья. В связи с чем, уровень преступности стал крайне высок. Так вот в Брюсселе ситуация один к одному.
