И снова об острове Соммерс. Во время первого захода на остров осенью 2013 г. бросилось в глаза то, что на нем нет ни одного памятного знака в честь погибших в 1942 г. наших десантников. Было решено сделать памятную табличку от Русского географического общества и поставить её на месте боёв за остров 8-9 июля1942 г. Эту задачу мы выполнили. Также остров был детально обследован с учётом архивных данных о ходе боёв. Следующий этап - проведение Вахты Памяти на острове и дальнейшее увековечение памяти погибших за него воинов. Ниже- несколько "военных" фото с выезда в мае.
And again about the island of Sommers. During the first visit to the island in the fall of 2013, it was striking that there was not a single memorial sign in honor of our paratroopers who died in 1942. It was decided to make a memorial plaque from the Russian Geographical Society and put it on the site of the battles for the island July 8-9, 1942. We have completed this task. Also, the island was examined in detail with the archival data on the course of the fighting. The next stage is to conduct the Memory Watch on the island and further perpetuate the memory of the soldiers who died for it. Below are a few "military" photos from the exit in May.
