Короче, официально объявляю новый коронавирус на*бкой века.
Да, САРС-КоВ-2 существует, и да, он вызывает КОВИД-2019. Да, от вируса мрут старики с букетом хронических болезней. Да, от вируса возникает повышенное количество легочных осложнений у людей среднего возраста, поэтому им на пару дней нужен аппарат искусственной вентиляции легких.
Но нет, это не повод закрыть нах*й все, не повод остановить все экономические процессы мира, не повод отменить все самолеты и поездки по городу.
Разумеется, все санпотребнадзоры мира должны были отработать свои стандартные протоколы, посадить на обсервацию потенциальных инфицированных, закрыть границы с очагами инфекции.
Но в какой-то момент слишком пристальное внимание к очень экзотической статистике сделало свое дело: случилась глобальная системная ошибка. Сначала все отрицали всю опасность, но потом стали соревноваться в том, кто более мудацкое решение примет. И теперь остается только один сценарий: прочитать все заклинания, глобально пострадать, лишиться денег и свободы, а потом постепенно маразм отменить. Где-то через год мы услышим по телеку сообщение: "Сегодня окончательно отменены все карантинные ограничения в Новой Зеландии, мир теперь может жить как прежде".
Главная х*йня заключается в том, что люди не понимают разницы между смертностью и летальностью. А разница в том, что смертность считается от произвольной выборки людей (всех жителей, всех мужчин, всех курьеров), а летальность - от всех переболевших/пострадавших.
И в случае с коронавирусом произошла подмена понятий. Начали тестировать всех с тяжелыми симптомами, и обнаружили, что из них 4% мрут. В два раза больше, чем от испанки. А если бы тестировали всех, то обнаружили, что летальность не сильно выше, чем у сильного гриппа. Потому что большинство людей переносят коронавирус бессимптомно. То есть, даже не поняли, что поболели.
Когда в какой-то момент научатся делать тесты быстро и определять наличие антител (свидетельства пережитой болезни), выяснится, что не так был страшен черт, как его малевали и что у страха глаза велики.
И вся эта истерия войдет в мировые учебники как пример того, как делать не надо."
