Не будет этого, 27 августа 2003 года такое событие было, я лично его наблюдал в телескоп. А сейчас люди ищут в поисковиках противостояние Марса и находят, только новость датируется 2003м годом, к сожалению, невнимательность многих погубила.
В этом году никакого противостояния (такое положение планет, при котором расстояние между ними минимально) не будет, и не было бы, следующее более-менее похожее на 2003 год будет в 2018 году, а в 2003м было как раз величайшее, следующее такое действительно будет в XXIII веке только.
И Марс выглядел на небе всего лишь как неяркая, красноватая звезда, ранее на том месте не пребывавшая, точнее как тусклый красный фонарик на горизонте, ничего похожего на Луну ни по яркости ни по положению ни по площади, занимаемой на небе далеко не было, это всё откровенное вранье и наёбка!
Насчёт 34,65 тыс. милях, да, тут кажется в разрядах ошиблись, даже если перевести это километры, то получится 50 тыс км, Луна, самое близкое небесное тело находится на расстояние 380 тыс км. Марс, в противостояние в 52 000 000 км, это никак не тысячи) и даже не сотни тысяч, это обычно десятки и сотни миллионов километров от Земли, сигнал до марса идет 3-22 (в зависимости от взаимного расположения на небе Земли и Марса) минут в среднем, а до Луны 1,2 секунды).
Насчёт полётов к Марсу, да, желательно туда лететь именно в противостояние;), следующее такое событие после 2003 года будет как раз в 2018 году.
P.S. Шумиха по этому поводу поднимается чуть-ли не каждый год, с появлением соц. сетей эта шумиха все больше раздражает, конечно, можно сказать, что описались, но как?? тут минимум три ошибки:
