Всем привет!
Наверняка многие уже слышали про недавнее успешное участие российских программистов на чемпионате мира по программированию. И только вчера, благодаря одному моему хорошему другу-программисту, мне удалось узнать подробности этого соревнования.
Итак, это был "ежегодный всемирный чемпионат по программированию (ACM ICPC)". В этом году он проходил в Орландо. В нём участвовали представители из СПбГУ, СПбГУ ИТМО, МГУ, УГУ, университетов Нижнего Новгорода, Новосибирска, Саратова, Киева, Львова, Донецка, Минска и других городов.
Самыми успешными из наших были представители Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета (СПбГУ). В командном зачёте они заняли призовое 4 место, решив 7 из 11 задач (проблем), за что получили золотую медаль. Среди участников России (и даже Европы) они вообще были первыми! Интересно ещё и то, что (как сегодня выяснилось) фактически все представители СПбГУ - это сотрудники Контакта! :-) Подробнее об этом можно прочитать здесь.
Так вот, благодаря моему другу, я узнал сайт чемпионата и смог найти примеры задач (проблем) которые решали наши ребята. Как я понял, им нужно было решить 11 задач примерно за 5 часов. Тот, кто решил большее число задач (проблем), и справился с этим за меньшее время - побеждал. При этом, фиксировалось число ошибок (видимо, при первом и последующих запусках программы), и за каждую ошибку к общему времени прибавлялись "штрафные минуты".

Surely many have already heard about the recent successful participation of Russian programmers at the World Programming Championship. And only yesterday, thanks to one of my good friend, a programmer, I managed to find out the details of this competition.
So, it was the "annual world programming championship (ACM ICPC)." This year he was in Orlando. It was attended by representatives from St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State University ITMO, Moscow State University, USU, universities of Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Kiev, Lviv, Donetsk, Minsk and other cities.
The most successful of ours were representatives of St. Petersburg State University (SPbSU). In the team event, they took the prize 4 place, having solved 7 of 11 problems (problems), for which they received a gold medal. Among the participants in Russia (and even Europe), they were generally the first! It is also interesting that (as it turned out today) virtually all the representatives of St. Petersburg State University are Contact employees! :-) You can read more about this here.
So, thanks to my friend, I recognized the championship website and was able to find examples of problems (problems) that our guys solved. As I understand it, they needed to solve 11 problems in about 5 hours. The one who solved a greater number of tasks (problems), and coped with it in less time, won. At the same time, the number of errors was recorded (apparently, during the first and subsequent launches of the program), and for each error, “penalty minutes” were added to the total time.
