Сегодня я, покупая кофе, пронаблюдала бытовую сценку, которую иллюстрирует эта цитата, со стороны: парень с девушкой сидели в кафе и разговаривали.
Просто сидели рядом друг с другом и просто разговаривали: без хватаний за ручку, без поцелуев, вообще безо всякого тактильного контакта.
Но весь процесс был настолько... если можно так выразиться, интимным, что это было почти неприлично, и люди отводили глаза, когда на них смотрели.
Всё в совокупности: как они смотрели друг на друга, как говорили, как улыбались друг другу, было выражением такой близости, что по помещению вот-вот должны были заползать молние-подобные "кобры" электричества.
И это, truly, самая тактильная и самая интимная публичная сцена, которую мне когда-либо приходилось наблюдать.

Today, when I bought coffee, I watched the everyday scene illustrated by this quote from the side: a guy and a girl were sitting in a cafe and talking.
They just sat next to each other and just talked: without grabbing the handle, without kisses, generally without any tactile contact.
But the whole process was so ... intimate, so to speak, that it was almost indecent, and people looked away when they looked at them.
All in total: how they looked at each other, how they spoke, how they smiled at each other, was an expression of such closeness that lightning-like "cobras" of electricity were about to creep into the room.
And this is truly the most tactile and most intimate public scene that I have ever seen.
