Наступило время dark zone, когда передвижение по воде под запретом. Программой минимум на сегодня для команд, которые успели добраться до ТА-1 накануне, было быстро пройти два сплава + два треккинга, чтобы попасть на КП9 до истечения КВ в 16:45. После этого времени командам придется ждать утра потому, как далее следует сложный (через джунгли) и долгий (почти час!) спуск в каньон по веревкам, а затем непростой сплав по каньону с периодическим спешиванием и обходом больших камней, и, судя по скорости прохождения лидерами, это был больше треккинг, чем сплав. Утро началось с большой гонки, на которой первая тройка лидеров сохранилась, а вот следующие команды перемешались, и RedFox Adventure Team оказались сдвинутыми на 17 место. К текущему часу команда находится на 15 месте с отставанием от лидера, команды Avaya, почти на 5 часов. Сейчас они застряли посреди сплава после КП9 и им придется там ожидать 5:15 утра. Команда Blizzard стартовала с ТА-1 еще позже, и до сих пор двигается до КП9, поэтому им придется там заночевать. Blizzard идут 20-ми с отставанием почти на 8 часов. Основная лидирующая группа уже завершила последний сплав этапа и выходит на этап велосипеда, в то время как первые две команды (Avaya и 400TeamNaturex) уже прошли половину велоэтапа, а следующая за ними команда Haglofs Silva находится в первой трети велоэтапа и отстает на 2 часа.
Напомним, что гонка идет уже 63 часа, из 64-ти команд 5 уже сошло, 4 команды в неполном составе, лидерами пройдено около 170 км, впереди еще 255 км как минимум (по подсчетам организаторов 45 часов для лидеров). Дистанция трудная, это видно по замыкающим. 9 команд еще не дошло до ТА-1 и 22 команды находятся в середине этапа сплав. Как сказал директор гонки: "забудьте о своей привычной скорости передвижения". И правда, например велоэтап, при своем малом километраже 41 км, будет проходится лидерами 5,5 часов! Как сказала вчера на первом треккинге Наталья Зимина: “The forest has been difficult and dirty. There have been lots of fallen trees and hidden cliffs to climb over and under.”
