Вчера после моей публикации о возможной провокации против меня, чтобы уничтожить подписи или физически лишить меня возможности их сдать, главный редактор радиостанции "Эхо Москвы" Алексей Алексеевич Венедиктов предложил свою помощь в получении охраны от ГУВД города Москвы. Я очень благодарен Алексею Алексеевичу за привлечение внимания к этой ситуации.
Мы вместе со всем штабом долго обсуждали это предложение. Сегодня утром я получил аналогичный сигнал от еще одного человека, что действительно рассматривается вариант с провокацией — сожжение подписей либо попытка их выкрасть во время транспортировки в Окружную избирательную комиссию. В этой связи я решил обратиться в ГУВД города Москвы с просьбой поставить охрану у помещения нашего избирательного штаба в ночное время, чтобы избежать любых возможных провокаций и обеспечить безопасность наших штабистов. Они, как вы видите по прямым эфирам, работают иногда глубоко за полночь. Буду признателен Алексею Алексеевичу Венедиктову за содействие, а также буду очень благодарен, если он возьмет под личный контроль процедуру по сдаче наших подписей в избирком и примет участие как независимый наблюдатель при их проверке в комиссии.

Yesterday, after my publication about a possible provocation against me, in order to destroy the signatures or physically deprive me of the opportunity to hand them over, the chief editor of the Ekho Moskvy radio station Alexei Alekseevich Venediktov offered his help in obtaining protection from the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Moscow. I am very grateful to Alexei Alekseevich for drawing attention to this situation.
Together with the entire headquarters, we have been discussing this proposal for a long time. This morning I received a similar signal from another person that the option of provocation is really being considered - the burning of signatures or an attempt to steal them during transportation to the District Electoral Commission. In this regard, I decided to apply to the GUVD of the city of Moscow with a request to put security at the premises of our election headquarters at night to avoid any possible provocations and ensure the safety of our staff. They, as you can see on live broadcasts, sometimes work deep after midnight. I would be grateful to Alexei Alekseevich Venediktov for his assistance, and I would also be very grateful if he would take personal control of the procedure for submitting our signatures to the electoral commission and take part as an independent observer in checking them in the commission.
