John Danyel, "Rosa"
John Danyel (1564 - 1626) was an English composer, lute player, and songwriter. He was born in Wellow, Somerset, and was the younger brother of poet Samuel Danyel. His surviving works include "Coy Daphne Fled", about the nymph Daphne and her fate, "Like as the lute delights" and various solo works which are not, for the most part, easy but are exceptionally beautiful.
