Java Compatibility Kit (JCK) Quality team is looking for a passionate,
responsible and highly motivated junior Software Quality Engineer. The
candidate will join a team of engineers responsible for delivery of
Java SE TCKs and TCK tools according to the highest quality standards
and on schedule.

JCK is a suite of tests, tools and documentation that determines
whether or not a product complies with JavaSE technology
specification. JCK is one of the three required pieces which must be
included in a final Java technology release.

Job Description

Responsibilities of a member of Java Compatibility Kit (JCK) QA team
include:
- execute compatibility test suites to verify correctness and
robustness of those test suites in various modes and configurations on
various platforms and operation systems;
- work closely with Software Engineers to understand the product
requirements and use cases
- follow QA processes
- analyze test results
- prepare test reports
- develop tests
- maintain and develop test automation frameworks and testing tools
- help to administrate the test laboratory

Required skills and knowledge:
- Strong technical background
- BS in a technical discipline
- Knowledge of Windows, Solaris and Linux platforms;
- Understanding of quality assurance and software development
processes and methodologies.
- Experience with shell programming.
- Good English communication skills
- Good teamwork skills
- Must be dependable, reliable, and have attention to details.
