Ну и опять к вопросу о мигрантах и языке. На самом деле в Норвегии и норвежский-то знать необязательно. Норвежский знать хорошо, это сильно расширяет твои возможности, но в реальности достаточно и английского.
В сентябре в Aftenposten была статья по поводу английского в сфере обслуживания:

И у автора знатно пригорало, что вот-де она пришла в ресторан, начинает говорить на норвежском, а ей отвечают на английском. И, мол, да что ж такое, невежливо, я ведь в своём городе, в своей стране, на своём языке, а мне нате, мы в Норвегии или где.
В Норвегии, в Норвегии.
Но много ли норвежцев работает в сфере обслуживания? Даже так - много ли норвежцев хотят работать в сфере обслуживания?
Я вот приехал в Норвегию в 2013 году. И что-то я не видел с тех пор, что прям везде норвежцы были. Шведы. Реально много шведов. Где-то даже читал статью, написанную норвежцем, что вот как хорошо, что у нас есть шведы, готовые работать в сфере обслуживания, они такие клиентоориентированные, а то мы, норги, в обслуживание не можем. Хотите, мол, нормального сервиса - это точно не к норвежцам, а к шведам.
И со шведами ещё языковой барьер несколько сглажен был. Шведский язык же близок к норвежскому.
Интересно, когда было засилье шведов в сфере обслуживания, у автора той статьи тоже бомбило? Или шведский она была готова терпеть, где-то у себя в голове воспринимая его как ещё один особо убогий диалект норвежского?
Но тут шведы схлынули. Курс норвежской кроны упал, курс шведской кроны подрос, в итоге работать в Норвегии шведам стало не так уж и выгодно.
Место шведов заняли... Ну я даже не знаю кто. Ну люди из всяческих стран ЕС, наверное.
Но эти люди не говорят ни по-норвежски, ни по-шведски. И вот тут-то и началось "А как так, а почему английский".
Но ладно. Приехали и приехали эти ненорвежцы. Но где сами норвежцы? Чего ж они? Надо спасать сограждан, которые не могут или не хотят в английский.
А не хотят норвежцы. Вот тут директор отеля говорит, что не может найти норвежцев:

Норги не хотят работать 17 мая (главный праздник страны - День конституции). Не хотят работать во время летних каникул. Да к тому же рост зарплат в сфере обслуживания и туризма якобы отстаёт от других областей.
Но один эксперт сказал газете, что она считает, что это не из-за зарплат, а из-за языка. Да, вот так. Сфера обслуживания и туризма просто даёт огромные возможности даже без знания норвежского.
Это я всё к чему?
1. Не понаехавшие вытесняют местных из-за готовности работать за меньшую зарплату. А работодатели вынуждены нанимать понаехавших на нормальную зарплату, потому что местные работать не хотят.
2. "Я не знаю, норвежский, как я могу работать?" - смешно. Английский знаешь? Ну всё, вперёд.
