Я часто слышу от многих людей, мол, образование - это всё херня. Вон, <имя_известного_бизнесмена> вообще бросил учебу, основал <имя_известной_компании> и ничего.
Чаще всего приводят в пример Цукерберга и Гейтса... Иногда вспоминают про Стива Возняка и Джобса. Мало кто может вспомнить хотя бы Ричарда Бренсона, который, кстати, был бы более хорошим примеров в данном случае.
Меня часто бомбит от таких необдуманных повторяющихся высказываний, которые многие просто копируют себе в мозг, а потом выдают всем подряд... Ctrl+C -> Ctrl+V.... даже без попытки критически осмыслить.
Аргумент 1. Соотношение
Никто не спорит и не умаляет заслуг Гейтса или Цукерберга. Но количество таких людей в мире просто ничтожно. Гораздо больше людей, которые развили свои компании после окончания университета или чего там они заканчивали. Например тот же Элон Маск, который закончил Пенсильванский университет.
Когда в пример ставят одного выжившего солдата из сотни, и говорят что он выжил, потому что у него не было каски на голове, почему-то мало кто вспоминает о сотнях тысяч погибших, которые были без касок и умерли.... Но это оффтоп уже.
Аргумент 2. Изначальные данные этих людей.
Вы посмотрите, какие университеты бросили все эти люди? Гарвард, Стенфорд, Беркли. Это топовые университеты не просто Америки, а мира.... Я тонко намекаю, что они туда сначала поступили! Перед тем, как говорить, что образование - это херня и без него можно обойтись, стоит попробовать поступить хотя бы в МГУ.... Вот если поступить удалось, значит вы, наверное не потерянный человек и можете бросать МГУ и хвастаться этим. Но если речь идёт о том, что вы с трудом прошли в какой-то лесопильный техникум (все названия вымышлены, все совпадения случайны), то кричать, что образование - херня, вон Джобс < и дальше по тексту >, пожалуй не стоит.

There are many more people who have developed their companies after graduating from university or whatever they graduated from. For example, the same Elon Musk, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
When they put one surviving soldier out of a hundred as an example, and they say that he survived because he did not have a helmet on his head, for some reason few people remember the hundreds of thousands of dead who were without helmets and died ... But this is offtopic. already.
