Хоть это и НоваяГазета, но полезная статья. Факты, изложенные тут, весьма интересны для понимания предвоенного периода, когда США испытывали влияние несомненных успехов СССР в индустриальной революции и завидовали лавинообразному росту мощи нашей Советской Родины. И Рузвельт был последним по настоящему разумным президентом США, который совершенно явно перенял наш Советский опыт для поднятия самой лютой на тот моменты дыры в США до должного уровня.

Да, не с позиций коммунизма, однако теми методами, которые использовались в СССР для поднятия подобного рода дыр. И долина Теннесси стала мощнейшим энергетическим регионом.

Причем и тут, в статье из этого либерального издания (либеральный кивок есть в конце статьи, а влияние опыта СССР не учтено, хотя наше сотрудничество при Рузвельте было весьма широким), указывается на позицию Трумена, со времен которого США начала завоёвывать гидра маккартизма, хоть он и не одобрял Маккарти по партийным и аппаратным соображениям, но считал этот проект социалистической угрозой.

Естественно, если социалистическая - то угроза, потому что лучше пусть народ в лачуге живёт и послушно жрёт объедки, работая на барина 25 часов в сутки, чем процветает.

Но привожу я именно эту статью из либеральной газеты из-за подробного разбора с цифрами и периодизацией - этим она полезна.

Naturally, if the socialist is a threat, because it is better to let the people live in a shack and obediently eat leftovers, working for the master 25 hours a day, than prosper.

But I am citing this particular article from a liberal newspaper because of the detailed analysis with numbers and periodization - this is why it is useful.
