????Самым высоким сооружением мегаполиса является здание Международного финансового центра высотой 425 метров!!!

90-этажное здание, строившееся 6 лет, высится на набережной в Центральном районе. За необычную форму жители прозвали башню, оборудованную высокотехнологичными телекоммуникациями, "кукурузой".

Здесь размещаются офисы крупнейших финансовых компаний. МФЦ – главная достопримечательность города, из-за строительства которой разгорелся скандал. Жители были недовольны тем, что постройка закрывала панораму живописной горы Виктория, и обращались с жалобами в местные органы, однако власти оказались на стороне проектировщиков.

При возведении высоток строители учитывают правила фэншуй: во многих зданиях отсутствуют 4-е, 14-е и 24-е этажи. Все дело в том, что их название на кантонском диалекте созвучно словам, связанным со смертью.
