Левретки – очень необычные собачки. Это довольно худенькие создания, хрупкие и дрожащие. Если вы не знакомы с этой породой, то в первый момент вам может показаться, что собака – совершенно несчастна, ведь она дрожит на ветру и ужасно боится мира. В действительности, это не так.
У левреток очень древняя история. Считается, что они живут с людьми как минимум 2 тысячи лет. В какой-то момент они стали очень популярны в Италии, поэтому их еще называют итальянскими борзыми. Потом левретки попали в Англию, и у аристократии просто сорвало крышу, так что эти собаки частенько жили при дворе всяких знатных особ. Например, левретка жила у королевы Виктории.
Говорят, у левреток очень милый характер, они любят людей, а к детям относятся спокойно. Но у них довольно ранимая психика, так что воспитывать их нужно очень аккуратно. Не орать на них, естественно не бить и не быть с ними грубым. Впрочем, это относится к любым собакам.
Так как левретка – разновидность борзой, эта собака умеет быстро бегать, любит охотиться и играть. С ней важно много и хорошо гулять, правда лучше их держать подальше от белок и птиц.
