Хотя я уже был на самой западной точке Европы - мысе Рока в Португалии, это - еще одна - мыс Латрабьярг в Исландии.
Атлантический тупик - вот, чем славится этот мыс. Нет, это не место, откуда нет выхода. Это отважная и красивая птица, которая прилетает сюда для выведения птенцов. На первый взгляд тупики кажутся неуклюжими. Но они запросто справляются с исландским ветром, умеют глубоко нырять в поисках рыбы и роют клювом норы для птенцов. Вместе с тем они совсем не пугливые. Если повезет, до них можно даже дотронуться. А уж наблюдать за ними с близкого расстояния одно удовольствие!
This is another "westernmost point of Europe" after Cape Roca in Portugal - Cape Latrabjarg in Iceland. The cape is famous for Atlantic puffin. It is a brave and beautiful bird that comes here for breeding chicks. At first glance, puffins seem clumsy. But they easily cope with the Icelandic wind, they know how to dive deeply in search of fish and dig holes for chicks. At the same time, they are not shy at all. If you're lucky, you can even touch them. And to watch them from a close distance is a pleasure!
