Хорошо сказано. Хотя нет разницы, на мой взгляд, верующий человек был или нет. Те кто пали за Родину - герои!

Не могу обойти приведённую Юрий Московский (Yuriy Moskovskiy) цитату Протоиерея Владимира Петрова (РПЦ МП), Эстония 2009.05.13:
«Как же лживо звучат наши с вами слова о том, что якобы в войне победил именно православный народ. О том, что чуть ли не благодаря только Русской православной церкви и еще - построенной на ее деньги танковой колоне "Дмитрий Донской" была возможна Победа. Это ложь, братья и сестры. Самая настоящая и бесстыдная ложь…
Но это не наше, братья и сестры. Я говорю о Великой Победе. В Великой войне победило атеистическое, коммунистическое государство СССР. Ну что же теперь поделаешь с тем, что в войне победил народ не православный, а народ-атеист. А в подразделениях не было полковых священников, а были как раз комиссары-политруки. А на пилотках у этого народа-победителя были не православные кресты, а звезды с серпом и молотом. И в бой они шли не с хоругвями и иконами, а с красными знаменами - символами Октябрьской революции. Именно этот народ-атеист, превозмогая собственные силы, нечеловеческим усилием, до кровавого пота, до кровавых мозолей, заливая кровью землю, вылезая из кожи, победил фашистов, победил фашизм.
Не будем воровать победу у мертвых, мы к той Победе не имеем никакого отношения. Нас бы, братья и сестры, тогда, в годы Великой Отечественной войны, с нашим православным триколором герои-защитники нашей Родины где-нибудь под Москвой или в Брестской крепости, или под Ленинградом, или под Сталинградом, или под Курском расстреляли бы, даже не спрашивая нашего с вами святого православного имени. И правильно бы сделали.
Эта война - не наш, не православный подвиг. Это подвиг атеистов и коммунистов. Это ведь коммунистов в первую очередь расстреливали и вешали фашисты, а не православных христиан. Это ведь на груди коммунистов, а не православных вырезали звезды фашистские палачи. Это их подвиг, не наш. Оставим его им. А сами давайте совершим свой подвиг и не будем присваивать чужое, хитрить и врать."
