Дело не в жизни, а в отношении человека к ней, не во внешних обстоятельствах, а в том, как человек воспринимает их. Как может стать счастливым тот, кто добровольно отказался от счастья?
Жизнерадостный и положительно настроенный человек даже трудности преодолевает с улыбкой, и их преодоление доставляет ему радость и удовольствие. Он не боится трудностей. Он усерден и деятелен. Как раз о таких людях и говорят, что им море по колено. И не потому, что их жизнь легче, чем жизнь вспыльчивых, хмурых и склонных к отчаянию людей, — просто они сами облегчают себе жизнь своим положительным отношением к ней. Есть люди, которые трудятся и приносят пользу, радость и счастье себе и окружающим и при этом упорны, целеустремлённы и не боятся трудностей. А есть люди, которым кажется, что все пути для них закрыты, не стоит и пытаться: всё равно ничего не выйдет. Они сидят и ждут, пока небо начнёт проливать золотые дожди или земля извергнет какое-нибудь сокровище, и огорчаются от того, что ничего подобного не происходит.
