#UselessFactAboutWorduuup number 7532076395. Yesterday they asked me about my favourite song for today and I couldn't answer but now I do think there's one song I unexpectedly play more often than any other. But I must admit that I don’t get stuck on one track more than once a year and I could count the number of songs I’ve been addicted to occasionally for the last, let's say, five years on the fingers of one hand.
Today it's The Script “Breakeven" with their “What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you.. and etc.”
And here is my strange top of #addictedtosongs over these last 5 years:
over a year ago – Emika “Drop The Other”,
before that – Cat Power “Be My Boy”,
System Of A Down "Sky Is Over” (this track had settled in my heart when I was leaving Saint-Petersburg as it seemed that days forever. I’m actually listening to this song on my current profile photo on FB which was taken on a plane somewhere above Finland and this is my #UselessFactAboutWorduuup number 468326906),
Paramore “Ignorance”,
Tricky "Hell is Around the Corner”
and Portishead with the New York Symphonic Orchestra “Roads”.
I’ve never thought about all that from this perspective since yesterday and about how this list could characterize me as a person (if it actually could) but the choice of all these tracks is surprisingly independent from all the music I listen to and love. And it’s always more about the lyrics than about anything else. And the fact that the lyrics is always very heartbreaking scares me a bit :)

Вчера они спросили меня о моей любимой песне на сегодня, и я не смог ответить, но теперь я действительно думаю, что есть одну песню, которую я неожиданно играю чаще, чем любую другую. Но должен признать, что я не зацикливаюсь на одном треке чаще, чем раз в год, и я мог подсчитать количество песен, от которых я пристрастился время от времени за последние, скажем, пять лет на пальцах одной руки.
Сегодня это сценарий «Безубыточность» с их «Что я должен делать, когда лучшая часть меня всегда был ты ... и т. Д.»

Хитрый «Ад за углом»
и Портисхед с Нью-Йоркским симфоническим оркестром «Дороги».
Я никогда не думал обо всем этом с этой точки зрения со вчерашнего дня и о том, как этот список может охарактеризовать меня как личность (если это вообще возможно), но выбор всех этих треков на удивление не зависит от всей музыки, которую я слушаю и люблю. И это всегда больше о лирике, чем о чем-либо еще. А то, что тексты всегда очень душераздирающие, меня немного пугает :)
