Вот и снова день рожденья, вот и снова год прошёл, за распятьем воскресенье, а пока всё хорошо.
Традиционный отчётный пост. Хотя похвастаться чем-то конкретным сейчас сложно, всё как-то в процессе, но год, что ни говори, был отличный. Выходит на проектную мощность сотрудничество с Кириллом, Пашей, Лёшей и Виталиком о сетевых алгоритмах: российская часть нашей группы получила довольно большой грант РНФ под моим руководством (деньги — хорошо, но это ещё и некое признание), я уже не раз писал о том, какие у нас все замечательные, статьи начали заходить, тьфу-тьфу-тьфу, практически все (не все, конечно, с первого раза, но рано или поздно заходят). Десять дней назад вот был большой дедлайн, четыре статьи подавали четыре чёрненьких чертёнка, к четырём утра управились, всё в лучших традициях.)
В этом году вряд ли удастся побить рекорд прошлого года по числу статей, но это скорее потому, что я слегка подзабил на то, чтобы писать массу статей к второстепенным дедлайнам. Зато среднее качество стало заметно выше:

И тут ещё парочки хороших статей не хватает, о которых пока рано рассказывать. Было бы здорово и дальше держать этот уровень.
Давно на проектной мощности преподавание, но станет ещё мощнее (ох): с сентября начну преподавать в СПбГУ; не имел почти ничего общего с alma mater с самого выпуска, и день рождения даёт очередной повод ужаснуться, как давно это было. А в ноябре опять в Harbour.Space, в Барселону; что, наверное, тоже неплохо. Начался в этом году и ещё один очень интересный проект, связанный (что для меня неожиданно) с компьютерным зрением и свёрточными сеточками; там пока хвастаться особо нечем, но скоро, надеюсь, будет чем. А самый большой проект потихоньку движется к завершению, и надеюсь, что в новогоднем отчётном посте я уже смогу рассказать о нём в present perfect. Вот так всё неконкретно и абстрактно, зато жизнь хороша.)
Для привлечения внимания (хотя зачем его привлекать, уже столько поздравлений пришло — спасибо всем поздравившим, это всё-таки чертовски приятно...) запощу картиночку от AI Rush — спасибо!)

Cooperation with Kirill, Pasha, Lesha and Vitalik about network algorithms is reaching its design capacity: the Russian part of our group received a rather large grant from the Russian Science Foundation under my leadership (money is good, but this is also some kind of recognition), I have written more than once about what are we all wonderful, articles began to come in, pah-pah-pah, almost everything (not all, of course, the first time, but sooner or later they do). Ten days ago, there was a big deadline, four black imp were submitted four articles, by four in the morning they finished, everything is in the best traditions.)
This year is unlikely to be able to break last year's record for the number of articles, but this is more likely because I forgot a little about writing a lot of articles for secondary deadlines. But the average quality has become noticeably higher:

And there are still a couple of good articles missing, which are too early to talk about. It would be great to keep this level further.
Teaching has been at its design capacity for a long time, but it will become even more powerful (oh): from September I will start teaching at St. Petersburg State University; had almost nothing to do with alma mater since graduation, and the birthday gives another reason to be horrified how long ago it was. And in November again at Harbor.Space, in Barcelona; which is probably also good. Another very interesting project started this year, connected (which is unexpected for me) with computer vision and convolutional meshes; there is nothing special to brag about, but soon, I hope, there will be something. And the largest project is slowly moving towards completion, and I hope that in the New Year's report post I can already tell about it in the present perfect. Everything is so vague and abstract, but life is good.)
