Когда-то, более 25 лет назад, еще во времена ГДР, в институте работали два товарища. Сидели в одном кабинете, проводили вместе научные исследования, шутили о жизни в ГДР и о штази (немецкий аналог КГБ).
Когда упала стена, они, как и многие другие ученые, отправились в Западную Германию и устроились в одном университете. Так же беззаботно продолжали совместную работу, пока не открыли акты штази и стало известно, что один из них был агентом.
Между товарищами произошла не очень приятная беседа, но бывший агент поклялся, что был принужден к работе, поскольку под угрозой была возможность обучения для детей в университетах. Кроме того, он ничего такого не донес, что могло бы повредить карьере его товарища. На том и порешили.
Пока сам ученый не решил сделать запрос на свои акты. И то, что он там увидел, превзошло все самые худшие ожидания. Его коллега не только докладывал о приглашении из ФРГ, о контактах с оппозицией и отвозил переписки в органы для контроля. Докладная записка 1989 свидетельствовала, что жертва - агент запада, а геноссе-агент уже готовит материалы для его разоблачения.
Если бы не падение стены, то одному из двух товарищей угрожала бы тюрьма.
На этот раз неприятным разговором не ограничилось и оболганный решил разорвать отношения с доносчиком и покинуть университет, в котором они вместе работали. Но его ожидал следующий шок - его нынешние коллеги не поняли "зачем ворошить старое грязное белье". Нюанс заключается в том, что немецкая люстрация предусматривает подписание документов, что человек не имел контактов со штази, если он претендует на позицию госслужащего. Итак, этот бывший агент штази просто скрыл эту информацию и работает до сих пор профессором. Университет находится в несколько неприятном положении, хотя агент и извиняется письменно.
