Есть у меня особое периодическое увлечение (слишком мелкое, чтобы назвать его полноценным хобби) — я люблю собирать каверы на понравившиеся мне песни. Иногда это увлечение открывает поистине любопытные нюансы.
Вот например, во времена своей юности, был у меня период увлечения группой Scooter (будто, у кого-то такого периода в своё время не было). Среди множества разнообразных песен скомпилированных этим коллективом есть одна, которая «загипнотизировала» меня своим мотивчиком:

Интерес к Scooter’у давно уж как канул в Лету, однако мотивчик плотно засел в голове. И вот в определённый момент мне стало интересно, откуда он взялся (ну не могли же товарищи из Scooter сами его придумать — уж слишком часто мелькает этот мотив в других песнях).
И понеслась…
Один из первых фактов, каким меня порадовал Интернет, это, дескать, мотивчик-то фашистский — не много ни мало из марша Люфтваффе (а чё, Scooter — немцы же). Маловероятно. Я могу ошибаться, но сколько-нибудь официального гимна у Люфтваффе не было (по крайней мере, мне не удалось найти про него информацию). Возможно, это был Sonnenwärts Fliegermarsch, но не факт.
В реальности немецкие рейверы позаимствовали мотив у одной голландской группы Bots из песни "Zeven Dagen Lang" ("Sieben Tage Lang" по-немецки, "Seven Days Long" по-английски):
- Bots — Sieben Tage lang
- Bots — Zeven Dagen Lang

Так что про гимн Люфтваффе — это 100% байка. Ребята из Bots написали текст песни в 1976, когда третьего рейха уже давно не было в помине.
Кстати, не факт, что Scooter скопипастил мотивчик именно у Bots. Дело в том, что Bots сделали этот мотив ультрапопулярным. Реально, я смог найти несколько десятков каверов разной направленности:
- Большинство всякий метал (folk/pagan/death etc.)
- Rabauken — Was Wollen Wir Trinken
- Adorned Brood (Folk-Metall) — Sieben Tage lang
Лешак — 7 Tage lang
Есть разного сорта клубняк

Не знаю даже, что тут сказать. Как упоминалась выше, песня-то бретонская. Могу предположить себе только такую логическую цепочку: «Язык чё-то непонятный, но играет арфа» —> «Арфа — это эмблема Guinness’а» —> «Guinness — ирландское пиво» —> «Значит песня ирландская. А что мы знаем про Ирландию? То, что там есть ИРА».
Каким образом бретонская песня (пускай даже бретонский и ирландский оба из кельтской группы) может стать гимном ИРА мне не понятно. In reality, German ravers borrowed the tune from one Dutch band Bots from the song "Zeven Dagen Lang" ("Sieben Tage Lang" in German, "Seven Days Long" in English):

- Bots - Zeven Dagen Lang
