Мне достался Диего Веласкес, я выбрала картину "Вышивальщица", созданную в 1640е годы. Для меня это атмосфера средневековья и фильма "Девушка с жемчужной серёжкой" - от цветов до позы и аксессуаров: медленный ритм жизни, полутьма, текучая женственность и природная религиозность...

Серо-зеленоватый фон картины «Вышивальщица» кажется воздушным, обладающим глубиной, свободно положенные мазки образуют тончайший слой, сквозь который просвечивает крупнозернистый холст. Этот портрет, выполненный художником, больше напоминает манеру фламандских живописцев второй половины 17 столетия, хотя, естественно, был создан раньше. Портреты Веласкеса необычайно естественны и реалистичны, даже несмотря на то, что в них обычно отсутствуют аксессуары, жесты и движение. Фон портретов подобран так, чтобы максимально оттенять фигуру, цветовая гамма портретных картин строгая, но оживляется тщательно подобраными сочетаниями цветов. Строгая темная гамма портретов Веласкеса оживлена изысканными сочетаниями серого и красно-розового, зеленоватого и серо-оливкового, черного и золотого. Поразительны эффекты серых тонов, то более темных, мягких, бархатистых, то достигающих чистого, свежего жемчужного оттенка.
