В двух словах, что происходит. По интернету бродит вирус, шифрующий содержимое диска и вымогающий деньги. Все бы ничего, но это тот самый крайне редкий случай, когда вирус распространяется сам, практически "по проводам", чтобы его подхватить, скачивать ничего не нужно. Касается только устройств с Windows, всех версий.
Вирус использует ошибку в системе Windows (точнее, в протоколе SMB, который отвечает за "общие папки/файлы в локальной сети"). Ошибка исправлена обновлениями, вышедшими примерно в декабре, но, т.к. многие, даже опытные пользователи, специально отключают обновления, проблема глобальна.
Что делать?
0) Если вы пользователь-чайник - попросить кого-нибудь соображающего вам помочь. Если вы полный чайник и у вас на компьютере хранятся сверхважные документы - можно перебдеть и до прихода знающего человека выключить сеть (интернет) на компьютере. Ну или скопировать документы на флешку
1) Если у вас включены регулярные обновления системы, то, скорее всего, вам ничего не грозит.
2) Если вы дома пользуетесь хорошо настроенным роутером (не ADSL, не мобильный оператор), и к вам не бегают друзья не приносят всякую хрень на флешке - скорее всего, тоже ничего не прозойдет. Но на всякий случай см. п. 3.
3) Если обновления у вас (как у меня, например) выключены, надо зайти сюда https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/ms17-010.aspx и скачать обновление вручную. Если у вас после этих слов не получилось - лучше попросить кого-нибудь знающего вам помочь, механизм скачивания несколько запутанный. Рекомендую скачивать Monthly Rollup, там где это применимо.
4) Для пользователей Windows XP (только SP3) выпущено отдельное обновление здесь http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4012598
5) Для версий ОС, используемых у моей семьи, я выкачал обновления и выложил на Яндекс-Диск (т.к. серверам майкрософта хреновенько из-за резких нагрузок). Можно воспользоваться (скачать и установить). Внимание! Если не уверены - лучше попросите знающего человека.
