Большинство из нас видело лесной пожар в мультиках. Многометровые сосны, пожираемые многометровыми же языками пламени. Птицы и звери в панике бегут из леса. Шум и треск падающих деревьев. Главные герои, внезапно заподозрив неладное, устремляются прочь. Адское пожарище вот-вот готово поглотить незадачливых персонажей, но просвет уже близко. Наши друзья выбегают на опушку, и, о, нет, ловушка! Спереди - обрыв и море, сзади - полыхающий лес, вместе с героями мультика в той же ловушке оказывается толпа белок. Что делать? Не видя выхода, белки смело бросаются в море, и наши герои вслед за ними.
В прошлом году, 2 июня 2018 года, в походе с яхтой Секрет, на вечерней стоянке на острове Вихревой под Выборгом я, в компании товарищей, видел небольшой лесной пожар (в затухающей стадии) своими глазами, и даже немного попробовал его потушить. Подходя к месту, мы вообще даже не сразу заметили, что с лесом что-то не так. Вечер, солнышко, безветрие, зеленые сосны стоят плотными рядами, и только между корней у этих сосен какой-то странный песок. И пыль поднимается, особенно если наступить ногой.
Оказалось, что пыль - это пепел, что вся трава в радиусе нескольких сотен метров выжжена, а кое-где под корнями идет дымок, и видны яркие угольки. Мы попробовали затушить эти угольки пятилитровыми бутылками, на каждый уголек ушло около получаса, при том, что полный залив воды был в двух шагах о нас. Мы выливали баклашку на уголек, он делал "пщщщщщщ" и продолжал гореть, а мы шли за следующей порцией. И так несколько десятков повторений.

The main characters, suddenly suspecting something was wrong, rush away. The hellish conflagration is about to devour the hapless characters, but the gap is close. Our friends run out to the edge, and oh no, a trap! In front - a cliff and the sea, behind - a blazing forest, along with the cartoon characters, a crowd of squirrels is in the same trap. What to do? Seeing no way out, the squirrels boldly rush into the sea, and our heroes follow them.
Last year, on June 2, 2018, on a cruise with the yacht Secret, at an evening stop on Vikhrevoy Island near Vyborg, in the company of my comrades, I saw a small forest fire (in a dying stage) with my own eyes, and even tried to put it out a little. Approaching the place, we did not even immediately notice that something was wrong with the forest. Evening, sunshine, calm, green pines stand in dense rows, and only between the roots of these pines there is some strange sand. And dust rises, especially if you step with your foot.
It turned out that the dust was ash, that all the grass within a radius of several hundred meters was burnt out, and in some places under the roots there was smoke, and bright coals were visible. We tried to extinguish these coals with five-liter bottles, it took about half an hour for each charcoal, despite the fact that a full bay of water was just a stone's throw from us. We poured a baklash on a coal, he did "pshshchshchshch" and continued to burn, and we went for the next portion. And so several dozen repetitions.
