Уйти всей страной в добровольную випассану и вернуться оттуда живым

Именно так каждый год на сутки уходит Индонезия. Уходит для того, чтобы почтить часть религии и культуры, которая для нас, иностранцев, остаётся за кадром, но которую свято чтут местные.

Ниепи, Балийский Новый год или День Тишины, наступает по особому календарю, но обязательно в новолуние после весеннего равноденствия. Считается, что в это время возвращаются духи, и остров отдаётся им на сутки в полное управление, а все живые души остаются дома с зашторенными окнами, без интернета и возможности выйти на улицу. Сидят в почтительном поклонении в семейном кругу, разговаривают тихо, свет не включают. Хорошо, что в прошлом году со мной была сама — одна я бы не отважилась провести в закрытом доме это время.

Готовятся к Ниепи за месяц, когда вся деревня мастерит из папье-маше чудище — материальное воплощение злого духа. Накануне Дня Тишины проходит шумный парад Ого-ого, когда несут страшные изваяния, крутят их на перекрёстках, чтобы сбить настоящих злых духов с толку, а потом сжигают.

Вот такая массовая и сильная терапия: люди конфронтируют со своими страхами и ритуально их вымещают. Как в современной психотерапии, но местные проделывают это сотни лет.

Я действительно преклоняюсь перед такой традицией и считаю, что каждой нации не помешало бы. Сейчас, когда мир уходит в вынужденную випассану, мне кажется, появляется возможность поучиться и взять это за привычку. Возможно, так Земля учит нас держать внутреннюю тишину.

‼️Брейкинг ньюз‼️ Балийское правительство впервые в истории продлило День Тишины на два дня тишины...и полной изоляции. Людям запрещено появляться на улицах до 6 утра пятницы. Мы закупаем продукты и собрали всех детей в Ниепи-лагерь! Учимся новым формам родительства и растить детей одной деревней????

Кто бы из нас мог предположить, загадывая желания на Новый год, такой опыт?! Однако, с новым 1942 годом по балийскому календарю! Надеюсь до фото блокадного Ленинграда дело не дойдёт...

People are prohibited from appearing on the streets until 6 am Friday. We are shopping for food and have gathered all the children in the Nyepi camp! Learning new forms of parenting and raising children in one village ????
