Пост про английский язык.
Вот все, отправляя нас сюда, пророчили мне улучшение моего уровня английского, а Мирусе первое слово на нем же.
Как же;-/
В первые минуты пребывания в США я подумала, что меня обманывали на курсах английского и преподавали что то совсем другое.
Аэропорт. пограничников почти не понять. С многолетних курсов пригодилось только: sorry, I don't Understand; can you please repeat?; и господи, что вы от меня все хотите? ????
И это при том, что уровне был upper intermediate; никогда, нигде , ни в Европе, ни в и Азии не было проблем с языком, даже на работе переводила тексты договора и участвовала в переговорах (так потупеть за время декрета ?! ????)
Но американцы и правда говорят очень очень очень быстро и при этом дожевывают буквы, которые не удалось проглотить????
Я реально не узнавала родные английские словечки в американском исполнении
Выйдя из аэропорта, мы сели в машину к мужу и там был навигатор. Что говорила это женщина? Я понимала процентов 30. Это очень мало. При том что фразы-то банальные. Keep right, take your turn
И это ощущение что пятилетние дети вокруг говорят на английском лучше чем ты...
А в магазинах? Они любят поболтать на кассе пока пробивают телегу покупок. И я сначала пыталась там переспрашивать что-то непонятное, ссылаясь на то что не очень хорошо понимаю, но это не приводило ни к чему, кроме как к повторению того же самого теми же словами с той же скоростью ????Поэтому, кассирам просто улыбаюсь, но все же решила обучаться самостоятельно. Сначала - слушая радио. Но из новостей ухо выхватывает только знакомые слова и дальше обучение не идёт. Russia. Ukrain, terrorism, Facebook, Obama... Но под каким соусом это все подаётся? Я реально не понимаю
Решила было обучаться с помощью телека. Сериальчики там, мультики. Ага... В итоге мы с МС целыми днями залипали на 850 каналов: то тут тебе мультики интересные без перерывов, то шоу где рокер женится на толстушке в лимонно-розовом платье, то реклама где все поют и танцуют (завораживающая, что не оторваться) и хоть не понятно что болтают, но картинки гипнотизируют. Короче, не самое эффективное средство.
Сейчас пополняю словарный запас изучением составов продуктов и этикеток. Да, прихожу домой, открываю словарь и записываю туда новые слова????
Очень понравилось болтать с американцами, которые приятели, они и помедленнее могут и повторят если что. Когда люди говорят только мне, я в принципе понимаю, но когда их несколько и они говорят между собой, понять их всех скопом невозможно????
Многие американцы отмечали, что я хорошо разговариваю, но догадываются ли они, что, понимая процентов 60, приходится достраивать смысл исходя из обстоятельств: "Ну, наверно, она сейчас говорит про свою собаку. Исходя из её интонаций надо кивать и улыбаться; кажется, говорит что-то захватывающее, надо сделать удивлённые глаза"
Короче, воображение развиваю, а не английский.
Практики мало совсем.
Есть тут от администрации курсы для эмигрантов. Бесплатные ????. И я уже собралась на них не просто идти, а бежать, так там нельзя с детьми. А куда мне МС девать?
Я им говорю- так ей тоже нужен английский, пусть учит! Но они не разрешили..
Но надо отдать себе должное. За проведённый здесь месяц я стала понимать навигатор; также вместо "ну да" говорить "окей" и заменять всякие слова. Типо вместо скидок- дискаунты, эпрувды, инвитэйщены и пр..! ????????????и иногда вдруг находит озарение и в беседе все-все понимаю, живо отвечаю, чувствую себя на равной в беседе. (Но я бы не отказалась от карманного словарика)
Эх. Учите английский. Никогда не знаешь где окажешься в следующем году...
