Уроки вежливости от Нью Йоркцев
Я за пол года уже привыкла к улыбкам и how do you do. И в принципе, считаю себя вежливой девочкой.
Но вот вчера, опаздывая на аэроэкспресс до аэропорта, мне, несущийся к путям с сумками в трёх руках и ошалело уточняющей этот ли поезд едет в Newark, служащая выдала тираду, что вообще-то, можно было вежливо спросить, начав разговор с "здравствуйте" и "не подскажите ли вы мне...", конец я не дослушала, так как влетала в закрывающиеся двери, решив, что лучше уеду не туда, чем ещё оправдываться ????
Поезд оказался туда. И весь вежливый. Прямо напротив меня, у самых дверей, что открываются внутрь, стояли две женщины, обсуждая недостойное поведение их общего знакомого.
А тем временем пытается зайти контролёр. Естественно, толкнув их дверью. То есть они сообразили в какой то момент, что надо бы отойти и отошли на метр. А ширина прохода пол метра (для справки). Но даже войдя, контролёр не мог поместиться между ними, поэтому сказал excuse me ladies и нырнув между ними пошёл по делам. В догонку он услышал: я понимаю что здесь узко, но нужно же быть nice (милым)!
-нет, ты подумай, он прошёл и растолкал нас
-это совершено недопустимо так проходить!
-неужели нельзя было вежливо пройти?
-это просто возмутительно так проходить по поезду
Они ещё долго кудахтали
Не удивлюсь, если в суд подадут. Подала ж некая американка на Starbucks-много льда в кофе кладут. Ибо нефиг. У невежливой Арины на сегодня все.

And the width of the passage is half a meter (for reference). But even after entering, the controller could not fit between them, so he said excuse me ladies and diving between them went on business. In pursuit, he heard: I understand that it is narrow here, but you have to be nice!
