Что впечатляет, и скорее, несколько не укладывается в восприятии, так это соседство арабской вязи и образа Богоматери. Фантастика для ислама - терпимость к изображению проявления Божественного в лицах.
Турция, к слову сказать, самая светская страна из исламского мира. Это приятно удивляет.
Вход же в собор, очень даже по европейским ценам - 40 лир. То есть, 8 евро так то.
Под исламскими фресками проглядывают христианские - последствия введения собора в статус музея.
А вообще, красиво.
И ещё любопытная деталь: символ месяца и звезды в исламе взят у древнегреческой богини Гекаты, которая сама имеет глубокие корни, уходящие в древние государства Средней Азии. Такие дела.
