Наконец-то сел и досмотрел последние серии двух первых сезонов "Вавилона Берлина".
Веймарская Германия. Весна 1929 года. К Берлину приближается товарный поезд из CCCР. В кровавой схватке за этот поезд скоро столкнутся троцкисты, реваншисты из "Черного рейсхвера", бандиты и советские агенты ОГПУ.
Отличный германский неонуар с лихо закрученным сюжетом и яркими персонажами, прекрасно срежиссированная мрачная атмосфера города, в котором еще не властвует Гитлер, не разбомбленного английской авиацией и не проутюженного "Катюшами". Берлин депрессии, бедняков, театра Брехта, кино Марлен Дитрих, ветеранов не способных забыть войну, кутежа дансингов и угара борделей, яростных схваток полиции с коммунистами ("Кровавый май" 29 года сразу же в первых сериях) и нацистами (эти ребята появятся уже под конец 2 сезона). Ни одного стопроцентно положительного героя (за исключением немногих второстепенных) - у всех есть скелеты в шкафу. И каждый готов на подлый поступок. Они просто пытаются выжить среди этих "черных обелисков" молодой демократии. И никто даже не представляет, что их ждет через каких-то 4 года. Ни социал-демократы в руководстве политической полиции, ни коммунисты, ни генералы мечтающие о былом величии Империи, ни простые берлинцы. Надвигающаяся угроза еще незаметна. Немцы еще не выстроились в стройные колонны, разве что настораживает их дисциплинированная податливость в подчинении воле инфернального певца, устремляющего к ним вытянутую руку, в ночном клубе. Но это пока только игра. 2 главных героя, не смотря на всю неоднозначность, обаятельны и им сопереживаешь. Из второстепенных хочу выделить социал-демократа начальника политической полиции и главаря бандитов "Армянина". Последняя серия 2 сезона, конечно, не обошлась без налета бондианы, но вообще эти последние серии получились очень мощными - я таких эмоций не испытывал даже от первых сезонов "Игры престолов".
Русские... русские... это вообще очень русский сериал (шутки про разборки русских между собой и необходимость создания "русского отдела" в полиции) но! Троцкисты и советские агенты получились, конечно, слегка клюквенные. Глаз режет, но не очень. Сильные стороны сериала перевешивают это все. Да и не очень-то агенты "кровавой гэбни" выделяются на фоне других, не менее жестоких персонажей.
В общем... лучший исторический сериал года. Лучший европейский сериал последних лет (наверное даже лучше "Острых козырьков"). С нетерпением жду 3 сезон!

Berlin of depression, the poor, the Brecht Theater, the cinema of Marlene Dietrich, veterans unable to forget the war, the revelry of dance halls and the brothel brothel, the fierce police battles with the Communists (Bloody May, 29 years old immediately in the first episodes) and the Nazis (these guys will appear already under end of season 2). Not a single one hundred percent positive hero (with the exception of a few minor ones) - everyone has skeletons in the closet. And everyone is ready for a mean act. They are simply trying to survive among these black obelisks of young democracy. And no one even imagines what awaits them after some 4 years. Neither the Social Democrats in the leadership of the political police, nor the Communists, nor the generals dreaming of the former greatness of the Empire, nor ordinary Berliners. The impending threat is still invisible. The Germans have not yet lined up in slender columns, except perhaps their disciplined pliability in submission to the will of the infernal singer, who rises an outstretched hand to them, in a nightclub. But this is only a game so far. 2 main characters, despite all the ambiguity, are charming and empathize with them. Among the secondary ones, I want to single out the Social Democrat, the head of the political police and the leader of the “Armenian” bandits. The last episode of Season 2, of course, could not do without a bondian raid, but in general these last episodes turned out to be very powerful - I didn’t feel such emotions even from the first seasons of Game of Thrones.

In general ... the best historical series of the year. The best European series of recent years (probably even better than "Sharp Visors"). I look forward to season 3!
