О преступной романтике в других странах... Вопреки довольно распространенной точке зрения, что популярность в обществе блатных песен, прославляющих уголовный мир и воспевающих "романтику" воровской жизни, - явление чисто российское, "новые веяния" в этой области исходят с Апеннин. Итальянские преступные кланы буквально наводнили страну музыкальными кассетами с собственными песнями, повествующими о "людях чести" (так именуют себя итальянские мафиози), которые помышляют якобы только о всеобщем благе; о нерушимости и прочности вековых традиций мафиозных "семей"; о страшном возмездии, которое ждет нарушителей клятвы верности своему клану и правил, действующих внутри "организации". Самое удивительное, отмечает итальянская печать, что кассеты с блатными песнями свободно продаются на совершенно законных основаниях. Как же так, с одной стороны, государство объявляет "непримиримую борьбу" организованной преступности, а с другой - регистрирует авторские права на песни, прославляющие и "популяризирующие" моральные "ценности" мафии?

В британские магазины поступил в продажу один из наиболее спорных в истории современной музыки дисков - "Il canto di malavita - La musica della mafia" - сборник песен Калабрии с явной мафиозной окраской.
Европа впервые услышала песни калабрийской мафии "Ндрангеты" лишь пару лет назад. Тогда первый диск группы Миммо Сиклари вышел в Германии и наделал там много шума. Альбом был записан по инициативе немецкого журналиста калабрийского происхождения Франческо Сбано.

Надо отметить, что в Италии звукозаписывающие компании сторонятся мафиозной тематики, и компакт-диски группы Миммо Сиклари записываются лишь за границей. Итальянские власти объясняют свое отрицательное отношение к подобной музыке тем, что, согласно конституции, в стране запрещена любая деятельность, которая противоречит общественной морали. К подобной деятельности автоматически относится любая пропаганда мафии.

Contrary to the rather widespread point of view that the popularity in society of thieves 'songs glorifying the criminal world and singing the "romance" of thieves' life is a purely Russian phenomenon, "new trends" come from the Apennines. The most surprising thing, the Italian press notes, is that cassettes with thieves' songs are freely sold on completely legal grounds. How is it that, on the one hand, the state declares an "implacable struggle" of organized crime, and on the other hand, registers copyright to songs that glorify and "popularize" the moral "values" of the mafia?

Europe first heard the songs of the Calabrian mafia "Ndrangety" only a couple of years ago. Then the first disc of the group Mimmo Siclari came out in Germany and made a lot of noise there. The album was recorded on the initiative of the German journalist of Calabrian descent, Francesco Sbano.

The Italian authorities explain their negative attitude to such music by the fact that, according to the constitution, any activity that is contrary to public morality is prohibited in the country. Any propaganda of the mafia automatically applies to such an activity.
