23 ноября 1967 года был запущен первый в нашей стране навигационный спутник Космос-192 системы "Циклон". В этом году будет 50 лет. Председателем госкомиссии, организатором и вдохновителем стал контр-адмирал Ю.И.Максюта. В прошлом - командир ТОГЭ-4. Реально, он смог сдвинуть нашу спутниковую навигацию с мертвой точки, в которой она находилась с 1957 года. Нашел людей, сподвижников, сторонников. Именно Максюта подписал тогда первое техзадание на создание будущей ГЛОНАСС, вопреки мнению начальства.
Кто первым высказал ныне совершенно обыденную идею использовать спутники для навигации? Мы или американцы? Наши офицеры Фуфаев и Суворов.
Кто занимался спутниковой навигацией у нас? Ракетчики? Летчики? Геологи? Нет - моряки! Наверное, в просторах Тихого океана они мечтали об этом, пытаясь секстаном "качать звезды".
Не забывайте первых! Помните о первых!
