Внезапно понял, что раздражающий многих (от нихже первый есмь аз) левацкий подход к знанию - цветущие в престижных университетах феминистское музыковедение, классовый анализ исландских саг и прочая и прочая, - структурно повторяет аргументацию модного до того, и конкурирующего с леваками сейчас, позитивизма. Леваки утверждают, что демократия и равенство - это хорошо (трудно в этом с ними не согласиться), поэтому наше мышление должно быть устроено таким образом, подчиниться тому, чтобы способствовать всем этим прекрасным вещам. Аргументы по типу "эта статья воспроизводит парадигму доминирующего класса и способствует усугублению угнетения" становятся вполне валидными в академической дискуссии.
Но если мы посмотрим на позитивизм, то он, по сути, говорит то же самое. Наука, в смысле science, - это хорошо, она дает нам множество важных плодов (и с этим тоже трудно не согласиться), потому мышление должно быть подчинено науке, устроено так, как нужно, чтобы заниматься наукой.
В обоих случаях мышление подчинено прагматике. По сути, это одна мысль от представителей "двух культур".
