Немного об именах
Среди моих постоянных клиентов есть замечательная бельгийская компания Graco. Производят оборудование для нанесения лакокрасочных покрытий. Но речь пойдёт не о компании, а об именах.
Чем дольше я с ними работаю, тем сильнее у меня складывается впечатление, что сотрудников в эту фирму набирают исключительно по звучанию имён и никак иначе.
Первым человеком, с которым я начал сотрудничать, была девушка с благозвучным таким именем Мариса д'Энжело (Marisa d'Angello).
Думаю, прикольно, красивое имя, что-то в нём есть такое жаркое и нежное одновременно.
Проходит время, и Мариса подключает к переписке штатного дизайнера. Эдакий утончённый Питер Л'амберто (Pieter Lamberto).
Ок, думаю я, мило. Но особого внимания этому не уделяю, ну мало ли, как у них там в Бельгии, может, там приняты такие красивые и звучные имена.
Однако, спустя пару недель мне дают контакты бухгалтера компании. И вот тут мне сразу вспоминается колониальная Британия, губернаторы на Карибских островах, лорды, пэры, сэры... со мной общается Крис Беккерс (Kris Beckers).
После этого я уже перестал чему-то удивляться, но апофеозом стало недавнее пришествие. Довелось пообщаться с девочкой, которая отвечает за поставки. У девочки очень милое и приятное слуху имя: Нэнси. И не менее нежная фамилия... Вандерлинден...
Я сразу представил себе такой диалог с, желательно, миниатюрной девочкой в розовом платье:
— Hi! You're nice! What is your name?
— Nancy.... Nancy VANDERLINDEN

The longer I work with them, the stronger I get the impression that employees at this company are recruited solely by the sound of names and nothing else.
The first person with whom I began to cooperate was a girl with the euphonic name of such name Marisa d'Angello.
I think, cool, beautiful name, something in it is so hot and tender at the same time.
Time passes, and Marisa connects to the correspondence of the staff designer. A kind of sophisticated Peter L'amberto (Pieter Lamberto).
Ok, I think, cute. But I don’t pay much attention to this, well, you never know, as they have there in Belgium, maybe such beautiful and sonorous names are accepted there.
However, after a couple of weeks, they give me contacts of an accountant company. And here I immediately recall colonial Britain, governors in the Caribbean islands, lords, peers, sirs ... Chris Beckers (Kris Beckers) talks to me.
After that, I had already ceased to be surprised at something, but the recent coming was the apotheosis. It was possible to talk with the girl who is responsible for the delivery. The girl has a very sweet and pleasant name: Nancy. And no less gentle surname ... Vanderlinden ...
I immediately imagined such a dialogue with, preferably, a miniature girl in a pink dress:
- Hi! You're nice! What is your name?
- Nancy .... Nancy VANDERLINDEN
