Цикл начался с Antichrist Superstar - истории превращения Червя в Разрушителя. Holy Wood - это последний бой Разрушителя: отчаянный, яростный, но уже безнадежный. Всей энергии Гидры с Disintegrator Rising и Омеги с Mechanical Animals хватило лишь на то, чтобы слегка встряхнуть систему, но не обрушить ее. Тут уместно будет вспомнить Хантера Томпсона - волна разбилась и откатилась назад. Томпсон прострелит себе голову чуть больше четырех лет спустя, в начале 2005-го. Но герой Holy Wood приходит к этому же решению раньше - финальная композиция Count to Six and Die заканчивается звуком крутящегося барабана револьвера и пятью холостыми щелчками. На мой вкус, лучший альбом Преподобного - мощный жесткий звук и злые беспросветные тексты. Enjoy.
