Главное событие недельной главе Торы «Итро» - дарование Торы, однако глава называется не «Дарование Торы», а «Итро». Объясняется в книге «Зоар» что дарование Торы стало возможным именно благодаря Итро, который практиковал все существующие виды идолопоклонства но потом оставил этот путь и принял еврейство.
Дело в том, что когда святость доходит до самого отдаленного места, и даже там признают истинность Торы и ее заповедей, то именно в этом выражается самое большое прославление Б-га.
У каждого внутри есть свой «Итро» - это тело и животная душа, которые по своей природе тянутся к разным материальным удовольствиям, и противостоят святости Торы. Но когда тело удается исправить (привнести в него святость изучая Тору и исполняя заповеди), то нет большего прославления Б-га чем это
