Седьмой день Хануки.
Со стороны греков война была направлена на то, чтобы «заставить забыть их Тору Твою и отвернуть их от уставов Воли Твоей». И как сказано (в «Берейшит Раба», глава 16): «записали... что нет им удела в Б-ге Израиля».
Война была направлена против Божественности: учите Тору, выполняйте ваши заповеди, только не вспоминайте о том, что это — Тора Всевышнего, а заповеди — уставы Воли Его, благословенного, не вспоминайте о Божественности, заключенной в Торе и заповедях.

On the part of the Greeks, the war was aimed at "making them forget Your Torah and turn them away from the statutes of Your Will." And as it is said (in “Bereishit Slave,” chapter 16): “they wrote down ... that there is no inheritance for them in Gd of Israel.”
The war was directed against Divinity: teach the Torah, obey your commandments, just do not remember that it is the Torah of the Most High, and the commandments are the statutes of His blessed Will, do not remember the Divinity contained in the Torah and the commandments.
