Жизнь человека зависит от воздуха, в котором он находится. Человек не может жить без воздуха, и в зависимости от воздуха, который он вдыхает, протекает его жизнь.
Когда человек живет в воздухе Торы и заповедей, — это здоровая жизнь. Когда он живет в воздухе, наполненном отрицанием Б-га, — это жизнь нездоровая, ведущая к постоянной предрасположенности к болезням. Основная мера к оздоровлению такой ситуации — очистить воздух.
Обязанность очищать воздух лежит на «знающих книгу и знающих Тору». Очищение воздуха происходит с помощью букв Торы. Находясь на рынке, идя по улице, сидя в поезде, — следует произносить буквы Торы, — этим очищается воздух. Каждый из тех, кто «знает книгу и знает Тору», должен помнить наизусть Пятикнижие, Псалмы, Мишну, главы из книги «Тания», так, чтобы при любой возможности, в каждом месте, он мог думать и произносить святые буквы, содержащиеся в Торе.
