Немного о городе-призраке Consonno, Ломбардия. Граф Ванна (Marco Bagno) в 60-е годы выкупил эту землю, снес все имеющиеся строения и решил построить "итальянский Лас-Вегас". Туристический центр, hotel Plaza, казино, парк аттракционов. Все здания были построены в разных архитектурных стилях.
Была даже собственная железная дорога с паровозиком. Элита Милана устраивала здесь свадьбы и шумные вечеринки по выходным, туристы вкладывались в "город игрушек" ("city of toys"). Но в 1976 дорога к золотой мечте Марко Баньо была разрушена оползнем. Как и сама мечта об итальянском Лас-Вегасе. Судьба тоже решила поиграть с бизнесменом, разрушившем целую деревню. Ни одна из попыток восстановить городок успехом не увенчалась. Город превратился в призрак.
Сейчас город оживает по воскресеньям, энтузиасты держат тут бар (работает только в вскр) и организуют мероприятия. После пары рейвов городок сильно разрушили и разрисовали граффити. Теперь здесь снимают рекламу BMW :) В сентябре тут проходил седьмой ежегодный чемпионат мира по пряткам. А сейчас хозяин города - кот Конзо.
