Зависать с [id189814|Денисом] опасно — рано или поздно начинаешь писать расширения для хрома. Хочу поделиться парочкой.
Первое — VK Chatfree (vk.cc/2GGFHB). Как известно, счетчик новых сообщений ВКонтакте учитывает как личную переписку, так и чаты (беседы). [id16990|Многим] это мешает жить и работать: никогда не знаешь, что кроется за этим «+1» или «+20». Недавно появилась возможность заглушать уведомления от отдельных чатов, но на счетчик эта опция никак не влияет. Мое расширение позволяет выбрать чаты, которые не будут учитываться в счетчике сообщений по принципу черного или белого списка.
Идея второго расширения, VK Mentions (vk.cc/2GGP5G), принадлежит [id6881|Глебу]. Немногие знают, что упоминания (ссылки на юзера или сообщество с произвольным текстом) работают не только в постах и комментах, но и, например, в личных сообщениях. Только вот привычный формат "@ idXXX (Имя)" / "* idXXX (Имя)" (без пробела после @ или *) не работает. Надо писать "[ idXXX | Имя]" без пробелов. При этом работают только численные id, но не короткие адреса типа durov. А самое главное — когда упоминаете кого-то в посте или комменте через. * или @, внизу всплывает список друзей с "умным" поиском.
Собственно, расширение позволяет делать упоминания в личке точно так же, как это происходит в постах и комментах. К сожалению списки-подсказки пока не работают в инлайн-чатах (тех самых, которые на днях пережили редизайн и переехали в правый нижний угол страницы).

Важный момент: расширения, в особенности второе, вмешиваются в работу самого сайта. Соответственно, в любой момент они могут вам что-то поломать. В таком случае отключайте расширение (chrome://extensions/) и пишите мне.
