Выборы и так вызывают только грусть и легкую тошноту, но чем больше мне на глаза попадаются посты на эту тему, тем больше к этим светлым чувствам прибавляется ещё и раздражение. Настоящие выборы - это не просто разовое событие или какая-то техническая процедура. Выборы в демократической стране - это общественный институт, который нужно долго строить (начинать можно и нужно, даже если страна ещё не очень демократическая). А потом поддерживать и защищать. Уважение к выборам, отношение к ним как к важной части общественной жизни - составная часть этого института. Сознательный бойкот выборов - это однозначное зло для развития демократических институтов в России. Поэтому как бы ни были предсказуемы выборы сегодня (я оптимист, но все-таки не дурак), в них необходимо участвовать. Чтобы в светлом будущем, когда выборы будут контролироваться разными силами и исход будет не очевиден, граждане не стали бы их саботировать по призыву тех или иных сторон.
Люди ходят на ни на что не влияющие митинги, чтобы «увидеть единомышленников», «показать друг другу, что мы существуем». А воспользоваться возможностью официально вложиться в процент людей, которые не голосуют «за» - это, значит, глупо? Что касается легитимизации выборов своим присутствием, и сейчас понятно, кто будет считать выборы легитимными, а кто - нет. И +/- 5% явки на это не повлияет. И вообще, я не знаю примеров, когда бойкот был бы эффективен в изменении политической ситуации в стране. А вот о примерах пошедших не по плану декоративных выборов слышал.
Аргумент от того, что, если что-то надо Путину, значит, буду делать наоборот - это какой-то уровень вредных советов. Надо исходить из того, что кажется правильным и полезным, а не из того, чего хочет Путин.
Ну и наконец, всем у кого нет времени на этот бессмысленный фарс, намекаю, что на просмотр антипредвыборных роликов, посты про бойкот и споры в комментариях вы скорее всего потратили больше получаса, который нужен, чтобы зайти на участок. Этим выборам действительно не нужно уделять много внимания. Не нужно о них спорить и друг друга в чём-то убеждать. Просто сходите и проголосуйте. Честно говоря, я сам ещё не решил, за кого голосовать. Но точно знаю, за кого не буду.
P.S. Наблюдать и пресекать фальсификации обязательно надо - это напрямую следует из поста. Привет всем наблюдателям и членам УИКов. Я вами восхищаюсь!

Elections already cause only sadness and slight nausea, but the more posts on this topic catch my eye, the more annoyance is added to these bright feelings. Real elections are not just a one-time event or some kind of technical procedure. Elections in a democratic country are a public institution that needs to be built for a long time (it is possible and necessary to start even if the country is not yet very democratic). And then support and protect. Respect for elections and their attitude to them as an important part of public life are an integral part of this institution. A deliberate boycott of the elections is a clear evil for the development of democratic institutions in Russia. Therefore, no matter how predictable the elections today (I am an optimist, but still not a fool), it is necessary to participate. So that in the bright future, when the elections are controlled by different forces and the outcome is not obvious, citizens would not sabotage them at the call of one or another party.

And to take the opportunity to formally invest in the percentage of people who do not vote “for” - is this, then, stupid? As for the legitimization of elections by their presence, it is now clear who will consider the elections legitimate and who will not. And +/- 5% turnout will not be affected. And in general, I do not know examples when a boycott would be effective in changing the political situation in the country. But I heard about examples of those who didn’t follow the plan of decorative elections.
The argument is that if Putin needs something, then I will do the opposite - this is some level of bad advice. We must proceed from what seems right and useful, and not from what Putin wants.
And finally, to everyone who does not have time for this senseless farce, I hint that you probably spent more than half an hour to go to the station to watch anti-election videos, boycott posts and arguments in the comments. These elections really do not need to be given much attention. There is no need to argue about them and to convince each other of something. Just go and vote. Honestly, I myself have not yet decided who to vote for. But I know for sure whom I will not.
