Вчера с дочкой наблюдали первый самостоятельный полет птенца скопы - словно первые шаги ребенка.
Он не просто взлетел - он прыгнул с края гнезда (а это высоко на сосне на скалистом берегу реки), а потом с торжествующим криком вернулся с другой стороны.
До этого он только перепархивал по гнезду.
Теперь гнездо часто пустует. Еще одно лето заканчивается.

Yesterday, my daughter and I watched the first independent flight of an osprey chick - like the first steps of a child.
He didn’t just take off - he jumped from the edge of the nest (which is high on a pine tree on the rocky bank of the river), and then returned with a triumphant cry from the other side.
Prior to that, he only flipped over the nest.
Now the nest is often empty. Another summer is ending.
