Архитектор Фёдор Шехтель — один из "отцов" московского модерна — архитектурного стиля, модного на рубеже 19—20 вв.
На экскурсии мы поговорим не только о самом Ф. Шехтеле, но и о его современниках.
Вы узнаете:
- кто сыграл большую роль в становлении Шехтеля как архитектора;
- что связывало нашего героя с богатейшими людьми того времени: Третьяковыми, Морозовыми, Рябушинскими;
- почему заказчик и друг Шехтеля Савва Морозов давал деньги на революцию;
- как соперники в любви Морозов и Горький оказались связаны именем Шехтеля и вдобавок жили почти по соседству;
- почему, кропотливо трудясь всю жизнь, Шехтель скончался в нищете и болезни;
...и о многом другом.
Гуляем в районе Патриарших прудов, где вы сможете увидеть особняки Ф.О. Шехтеля, С.Т. Морозова, С.П. Рябушинского, П.П. Смирнова, скоропечатню А.А. Левенсона.

On the tour, we will talk not only about F. Schechtel himself, but also about his contemporaries.
You will learn:
- who played a large role in the formation of Schechtel as an architect;
- what connected our hero with the richest people of that time: the Tretyakovs, Morozovs, Ryabushinsky;
- why the customer and friend Shekhtel Savva Morozov gave money for the revolution;
- how rivals in love Morozov and Gorky were connected by the name of Shekhtel and, in addition, lived almost in the neighborhood;
- why, laboriously working all her life, Shekhtel died in poverty and illness;
... and much more.
We walk in the area of the Patriarch's Ponds, where you can see the mansions of F.O. Shekhtel, S.T. Morozova, S.P. Ryabushinsky, P.P. Smirnova, I will haste A.A. Levenson.
