Но, по правде говоря, потоп не там куда мигрируют, а там — откуда. Миграция и ее масштабы становятся ощутимыми и понятными только, когда ты оказываешься там, у ее истока», — Ксения Диодорова.
Ксения прожила весь январь на таджикском Памире и снимала, как живет долина Бартанга и ее обитатели. Вернувшись в Россию, фотограф встречалась и снимала близких родственников и детей своих памирских героев. Получилась такая двухсторонняя история, через которую мы можем узнать о мигрантах чуть больше или «с начала» — увидеть, где они родились и как росли, кто их родители, что рисуют их дети, во что верят и о чем мечтают.
