TOG II — британский тяжелый пехотный танк времён Второй мировой войны. Cуществовал в единичном числе в виде прототипа. К моменту испытаний, начавшихся в апреле 1943 года, являлся самым тяжелым (больше 81 тонны) и самым мощным британским танком, но концепция, в соответствии с которой он был построен, к тому моменту морально устарела. Даже несмотря на сильное бронирование TOG уступал по динамическим качествам и вооружению не только немецкому “Tiger”, но даже более слабому Pz.Kpfw.IV с длинноствольной 75-мм пушкой. Маневренная война для таких машин была губительна.

TOG II - British heavy infantry tank from the Second World War. Existed in the singular in the form of a prototype. By the time the tests began in April 1943, it was the heaviest (more than 81 tons) and the most powerful British tank, but the concept in accordance with which it was built was morally outdated by that time. Even in spite of the strong armor, the TOG was inferior in dynamic qualities and armament not only to the German “Tiger”, but even to the weaker Pz.Kpfw.IV with a long-barrel 75 mm gun. Maneuver warfare for such vehicles was fatal.
