Нигерия, как много в этом звуке... На заре своей противоречивой карьеры я имел случай служить в отделе по ̶бо̶р̶ь̶б̶е работе с иностранными студентами СПБГУ. И вот одним весёлым октябрьским утром в наш кабинет влетают два побелевших от ужаса нигерийца в сопровождении доведённого до ручки начальника отдела. Который тут же поручил мне узнать у этих пациентов - когда будет видно деньги за обучение в университете и проживание в общаге. И если будет снова рассказана сказка про "нащальника, паспорт-деньги ̶у̶̶э̶к̶с̶к̶у̶р̶с̶о̶в̶о̶д̶а украли в аэропорт, скоро новый пришлют, мамой клянус", то он их придушит прямо не отходя от кассы. И на мой соответствующий вопрос несчастные негры с честными голубыми глазами тут же заводят на ломаном английском именно эту самую композицию: про аэропорт, гадких мошенников и скорый чемодан денег от родственников. Душить их начальник, конечно же не стал, но пришёл к твёрдому решению не принимать более абитуриентов из Нигерии без стопроцентной оплаты вперёд. Потому как у них там до сих пор впечатление о нашей стране как о Советском Союзе, где всё бесплатно и вообще - коммунизм.

The boss, of course, did not strangle them, but he came to a firm decision not to accept more applicants from Nigeria without a hundred percent payment in advance. Because they still have an impression there about our country as the Soviet Union, where everything is free and in general - communism.
