Америка 30-40-х годов... Джаз, клубы, дым, приглушённый свет, звон стекла и льющихся в бокалы напитков... Элегантные люди из мира американского бомонда, очаровательные девушки и темнокожие официанты. Повсюду смех и жизнь во всей её полноте... Именно таким был мир Джерома Селинджера, начинающего писателя, молодого двадцатилетнего человека. А спустя каких-то десять с небольшим лет он выпустил роман, который в категорической и непримиримой форме отвергал такую жизнь, как насквозь пропитанную "фальшью". Этот шедевр, не потерявший своей актуальности и до сих пор - роман "Над пропастью во ржи", а его герой - тот самый Холден Колфилд, подросток не желающий принять навязываемую ему иллюзию "нормальной" жизни. Спектакль "Селинджер" рассказывает о пути, который проходит самый загадочный автор Америки 20-го века от самовлюбленного пижона, завсегдатая баров и вечеринок, до философа-бунтаря подарившего миру бессмертный шедевр. Все действие насыщенно его уникальной неповторимой атмосферой, выраженной через свет, музыку, танцы, пластику актеров, и, конечно же, через тексты его удивительных произведений, где порой трудно уловить грань между иллюзией и реальностью...

America 30-40s ... Jazz, clubs, smoke, dim lights, the clink of glass and drinks pouring into glasses ... Elegant people from the world of the American elite, charming girls and dark-skinned waiters. Laughter and life in its entirety are everywhere ... That was the world of Jerome Selinger, a novice writer, a young man of twenty. And after some ten years or so, he released a novel that categorically and implacably rejected such a life as being thoroughly saturated with "falsehood." This masterpiece, which has not lost its relevance and is still the novel "The Catcher in the Rye," and his hero is the same Holden Caulfield, a teenager who does not want to accept the illusion imposed on him by a "normal" life. The play "Selinger" tells about the path that the most mysterious author of America of the 20th century follows from a narcissistic dude, a regular at bars and parties, to a rebel philosopher who presented the world with an immortal masterpiece. All the action is saturated with its unique and unique atmosphere, expressed through light, music, dancing, plastic actors, and, of course, through the texts of his amazing works, where it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the illusion and reality ...
